Google Penguin 3.0 is OUT

Well as expected for the last month or so Google Penguin 3.0 is finally out. It’s too early to judge what and who got hit but SAPE Network is still intact. Damn Russian protect the network really well and no deindexed domains or wiped out niches.

From what I can see most of the people who got hit are those who did not use as many brand name keywords. This is the second Penguin which hits exactly those sites who don’t have good ration on brand. Basically, we got the same thing as every Penguin update – “clearing out the deck”.

If your site is in top 100 results you can still recover as start adding fresh content to the site and start doing social signals to the articles you added. Nothing is guaranteed of course but at least you will see if that would help. Inside the article(s) don’t use any “targeted” keywords, just put fresh content.

Some people recommend disavowing links, I personally don’t like that procedure as much but it’s your site and if you think that will recover it, go ahead and do it.

If you decide to go with new domain, certainly transfer the articles from the old domain to the new one. There is no need to ditch the old articles especially if you got good content.

I will keep you guys posted of what’s going on and ways to fight back but meanwhile you can monitor the update right here http://algoroo.com/
