When Politics Get in The Way of Honest Business
Alright, I wasn’t so sure if I should write this article, but anyways I’m going to do it.
So, it’s May 15th, 2018 and it was a beautiful sunny day. I stayed late last night to finish orders on Fiverr, so the next morning I woke up around 10 o’clock. Went downstairs and had my tea and breakfast and then decided to take my dog Max for a walk. As usual before that, I checked on my phone app how many new orders I have on Fiverr, and there were quite a few. Every month on the 15th usually we get “promoted” (or demoted) to higher seller’s rank. I was wondering if I finally going to make it PRO Seller. I had all badges and my account was outstanding. Last month on the 15th, I got the usual BS email “uhm you are good/great but keep working harder for the next leverl”. So, I was kind of expecting nothing to happen. I mean, not to get promoted nor demoted but never expected (honestly I knew this day will come, because of politics) what was about to happen.
So, I took Max for an hour-long walk and then we came back home and let it run around the backyard. Opened up my laptop to start my business day and as soon as I was about to start working on orders, the Hell broke loose. All of my orders were canceled, all of my gigs disabled and at last my account was closed/disabled too. I couldn’t believe it, I was on Fiverr.com for almost eight years, and all of my ratings were great. I was Level Two seller (should have been PRO Seller but politics) all my performance metrics were 100%, and I had maintained 5-star rating with over 5500 orders delivered.
So, I was the number one SAPE links seller, and I was the first one to start selling SAPE links there. I was penalized twice before, once because I hit the delivery button to stop the clock on order. The reason for that was that the client ordered express 24 hours delivery and the order showed in my dashboard once it was already late. So, I panicked and clicked the button and redelivered the order within 40 minutes. Then, I sent Support a message to give them heads up that something wasn’t working right. They checked, and they penalized me right away.
Ruler #1 – NEVER Ever Contact Support
If you want to make it on Fiverr.com, don’t contact Support even when you need help. They will “help” by first looking for a reason to penalize you. Fiverr.com evolved from a free marketplace to a plantation for the sellers. You got your account, the app, the clients and the Big Brother watching you. You can’t mention the word “money site” because it has the word “money” in it and no way Jose. Where is the freedom of speech?! You may want to steal from your Master. There are numerous YouTube videos and blog posts from banned sellers without a valid reason. What happened to “I Disapprove of What You Say, But I Will Defend to the Death Your Right to Say It”?!
Let’s keep going. Now, I contacted Support to try to understand what wrong did I do and why my account was disabled. The answer was “third party infringement.” That’s telling me “Who cares, we aren’t going to tell you.” I asked multiple times which was “the third party” they apparently didn’t tell me. Account disabled and I can ask for my money after 90 days. Case closed and I was dismissed.
Show me the man, and I’ll show you the crime.”
– Lavrentiy Beria, head of Joseph Stalin’s secret police
I, as a person, born and raised in a communist country, I’ve seen and experienced every penalty under the sun (except death and prison penalty). And that’s how communists and socialists apparatchiks act. They have the mentality that they don’t own any explanation to the people below them. You get dismissed, and you need to feel guilty without knowing what is your mistake to get so severely cut.
Alright, so what else I could do, nothing I guess. I was making good money because I’m the best in what I do. When you purchase service from me, you get the full package, not just a report with a bunch of links. What do I mean by that? You get to talk to me and discuss strategies how to rank, how to place the links, what kind of backlinks do you need, so one and so forth. I have clients who have SAPE.ru accounts but come to me because I filter the links better. And when you need 10 or 200 backlinks, you better give the job to someone who does that for a living instead of figuring out how to filter 5000 links and buy 10 or 20 backlinks. There are so many obstacles not visible that 99% of the people will get links that filtered badly. And smart people realize that and that’s why they use my services. And let me tell you this, I don’t work, I do business with people, and that’s a lot more. In business, to be the best, you need to give your best. When I began learning SAPE, I almost gave up the first day. The first week was like a boot camp to me. But I made it, I spent lots of money, and I tested on many sites, so ultimately I became the best because I wanted to be the best.
So, I was still thinking what wrong did I do. I was banging my mind with all kinds of questions and couldn’t find an answer. And all of a sudden, I was like let me do a search and see if it was just me or maybe others have been banned in my niche. The first search I did all other sellers were there, and I was the only one missing from the search results. Ten minutes later I did another search and guessed what?! All gigs for SAPE links were gone. 🙂
This was great to me because it gave me the ultimate answer. I wasn’t guilty of any wrongdoing. The higher ups just decided to wipe out all gigs on SAPE, and since I was the biggest one, they disabled my account. It was a political decision, not a business one. It is impossible in free capitalism and open markets society to act like that. Kids, if you are reading this, you are screwed. I’m so thankful that I’m not in my twenties right now. Your chances of making it in life are so slim, even though the propaganda is telling you the opposite “you have the best opportunity in a lifetime because of social media.” Nah, not true kids.
Anyways, Fiverr wasn’t my main stream of income. My website is the one making the most money. On Fiverr was dealing with people with smaller projects and budgets. Not all of them, of course, but most of them were just people trying to make it online. Make affiliate website and try to rank it and earn commissions.
Rule #2 – Never be Loyal to Fiverr
If you feel like pumped up, and doing good on Fiverr, making your cash and feeling like others are losers, let me tell you this, your time will come too. Use any opportunity to make contacts with your loyal buyers outside the dashboard. Trust me, and they are looking for it also. They don’t want to pay the buyer fees. But not just that, forget the fees, this is a low ball.
My mistake was that I never did that. I had buyers sending me text files with their contacts, but I ignored them politely. I was thought in life from real capitalists, that you should never cut and lie to your suppliers. Never did that and if I could go back in time, I would still not do it. But I’m telling you now if you can, do it and get in touch with the people who buy from you regularly.
Next Day May 16th
Before I went to bed, I was still thinking about this “third party infringement”. I said my self, maybe because of all of my gig covers had the SAPE logo, maybe they contacted Fiverr?! Nah, impossible, I mean there is no way Jose, SAPE.ru doing that. Forget it, but I sent an email to their head manager to ask if they did something like that. And he confirmed to me they never done that nor will do. In fact, he said, we encourage our clients to use any of our display materials to promote their services. The manager even apologized to me for what happened, he felt guilty about it without having to. He said, “I hope your name wasn’t damaged by any way of using your service”. No way, I’m so proud I’ve been using SAPE for so long. He was even so generous, and he said give me your account details, and I will contact them and ask them why they shut you down. But I said, no, because this is a political, not business decision.
Rule #3 – Be Loyal to Your Clients, Even to The Assholes
Our Universe is so great, and we are so little to understand that. So, one the next day I started getting messages on Facebook and Konker.io: Hey Kal, where have you gone man?! We have been looking for you on, but we can’t find you anymore, what happened?
Clients, whom I knew just by their nickname were trying to get a hold of me, and they found me. “Hey man, this is XXXXX from Fiverr, do you remember me?! Of course, I do remember you. Hey bro, what happened…” Slowly but surely my clients are coming back.
I LOVE YOU ALL GUYS!!! GOD BLESS YOU ALL!!! You are giving me hope that humanity will exist. I’m so glad that I can see your faces now and you can see mine as well.
Fiverr is not a closed chapter for me. It’s the opposite, and I will keep making posts on how to make it Fiverr and how to defeat the system. So, one day you don’t wake up in my shoes.
Now, I can be found on Legiit.com. Which is a new marketplace for entrepreneurs without the limitations and alternative to Fiverr and half their fees. So, if you were looking for iwebseo on Fiverr.com now, you can find me on as iwebseo on Legiit.com.
